Neighbor supporting neighbor to end local hunger

SML Gives inc. exists to unite neighbors, businesses, and the community in the fight against hunger and poverty, ensuring no one is left behind and no one goes to bed hungry.

SML Gives Inc. operates through three key programs designed to address hunger and reduce poverty:

Mobile Food Distribution brings food directly to neighbors in need. Partnering with organizations like Lake Christian Ministries & Transition Basics, SML Gives inc delivers food boxes to immobile families in Bedford, Pittsylvania and Franklin counties.

Partner Pantry Program provides direct support to pantries, soup kitchens and other nonprofits serving neighbors. Through food supplies, emergency funding and a mini grant program, SML Gives Inc. strengthens the infrastructure of organizations already doing vital work in the community.

SML Gives Empowerment Center will serve as a physical hub for the organization, housing a neighborhood pantry, community kitchen and garden, and a career readiness center offering computer access and resume assistance. The Empowerment Center Project, still in development, will be full circle resource center for neighbors experiencing poverty, offering necessary resources for neighbors to build better lives for themselves and their families.
